Protective Coating adalah lapisan pelindung yang dirancang untuk melindungi permukaan beton dari kerusakan, terutama pada area dengan kondisi lingkungan khusus. Meskipun bersifat waterproof, material ini bukan bagian dari sistem waterproofing konvensional. Fungsi utamanya adalah mencegah kerusakan beton akibat paparan cairan kimia agresif yang dapat menimbulkan kerusakan pada selimut beton dan korosi pada tulangan baja pada struktur beton bertulang.

Aplikasi protective coating sangat penting untuk menjaga ketahanan dan umur panjang beton, terutama pada fasilitas untuk menyimpan atau mengolah air maupun cairan kimia, seperti:

  • Water Treatment Plant (WTP) – tangki air bersih/minum
  • Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) – tangki pengolahan air limbah
